Who Am I?
It is my pleasure to introduce myself as Christie Johnson. I am a very, enthusiastic teacher, who loves teaching and learning. I have taught most of the grades between sixth and twelfth grades and have been teaching for over eleven years.
I have found Middle School to be the school years with the most marvel and magic.
My education includes a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physical & Health Education (Concentration Physical Therapy) from Elizabeth City State University, Elizabeth City, NC; and two Master’s Degree in Education from Gardner Webb and Capella University.
My family includes my husband of 13 years, one son, one daughter our parents and one dog.
Adventure, exploration, discovery, and creativity are experiences I intend to provide my students with this year, so as to inspire a lifelong love for learning! He or she will have a wonderful year I’m sure, discovering talents and a new confidence that comes from learning, making new friends, and developing the great potential each child has within.
My philosophy is to provide an interesting, challenging, learning environment where my students will flourish socially and academically. They in turn can give their best effort in all they do at school. I believe that as a community ‘happily’ working together, teachers, parents and school staff can help our students accomplish this.
